Winter (for a few days)

Slechts een paar dagen was het winter. Een flinke laag sneeuw zorgde in ieder geval voor heel wat ongemak op de weg. Maar dit zijn juist de dagen om er op uit te gaan. Voor de zaterdag was zonnig en vrijwel windstil weer voorspeld. In combinatie met de koude lucht maakt dat de kans op mist ook groter. Daarom zocht ik met een collega fotograaf de Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen op om te kijken of de kanalen mooie opnames op zouden leveren. Het werd een fraaie dag, met een flinke diversiteit aan onderwerpen. Landschapsopnames met mist, poserende damherten, vos en brilduiker. Jammer dat de sneeuw na een paar dagen al weer weg was.

Only a few days it was winter. A thick layer of snow caused a lot of discomfort on the road. But these are precisely the days to get out to take pictures. For the Saturday the weather forecast was sunny and almost windless. In combination with the cold air that makes the probability of mist also larger. So I drove with a colleague photographer Johan off to the Amsterdam Waterleidingduinen to see if the channels would make beautiful subjects for nice pictures. It turned out te be a beautiful day, with a huge variety of topics: nice pictures of landscape with fog, posing deer, fox and goldeneye. Too bad after a few days the snow was gone.
